How to use the integrated graphics card when connecting a monitor to a laptop?

I have a laptop (HP Pavilion Gaming 15-cx0039ur) connected via hdmi monitor, the built-in monitor uses an integrated video card, and the external one uses NVIDIA. Because of this, it heats up more and therefore makes noise. Is it possible to switch the external also to the integrated card?
P.S. On an old laptop, both monitors work on an integrated graphics card (Asus X550LB-XX011D)

@Radjah

Depends on which card the connector on the laptop motherboard is connected to.
