I can't figure out the Javolution library, I downloaded the jar file, but how can I connect it to the project?

You shouldn't learn Java with Javolution, but the materiel, sorry.
If you are using maven, add the dependency from here to pom.xml before. mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.javolution/javolution
If you are not using maven, then immediately start using it.
If religion does not allow, then add it with your hands.
Since my guesser is in the service, I will point my finger at the sky that you have Eclipse.
Right click on the project, then Build Path -> Configure Build Path -> Libraries -> Add external jar
