How to use gradient inside artboard?

Created a gradient inside the artboard. But it is not centered on it. Why, how to fix?

When moving or resizing the artboard, the position of the gradient gets lost.
To fill the artboard with a gradient, you need to create a new layer with a solid fill and set the gradient overlay in the layer styles. Or you can create a rectangle shape according to the size of the artboard and fill it with a gradient.
