How to use a different partition/path for the Users folder when installing Windows 7?
Hello!
One way how to use a different path for Users found here . But a new question arose: what to do when reinstalling the system? I did not dare to take risks yet, I did not demolish the system. But the question is relevant. Will it be enough after reinstallation to just delete C:\Users and make a link? mklink C:\Users D:\Users /j
Thanks in advance.
UPD: I found a solution to the problem here . The author describes a slightly different way, but this way, with each reinstallation, it is enough just to indicate the prepared .xml file with the settings (at least everything looks simple). I will try.

And you may ask why such a decision is needed?
UPD: Why transfer the entire Users folder? Transfer only your profile, or are there many computer users? The most correct transfer by user is to go under the profile of another user, move the desired profile, make a symlink and try to boot already under the desired profile.
