How to update a site from a local copy?

There is a primitive site on joomla 2.0, I made a copy and deployed it on a local server using akeeba kickstart, updated joomla to 3.0, removed pop-up errors, worked with pages, but tried to keep all addresses (url) the same as on a live site. Now I want to update the live site, but I don’t understand how to do it, just take and transfer the entire folder from the local server to the hosting with file replacement? Or delete the folder of the old site and upload a new one from the local one? What should be taken into account when transferring / updating, so as not to sit in a puddle?

Delete, directly with the database, but first make a backup.
Make a backup of the local site by Akiboy and transfer the same Akiboy to the hosting instead of the old site.
If it’s completely scary, then before deleting a live site, try installing Akiboy’s local site in a subdomain and make sure that everything works.
