How to understand why 1C hangs at the stage of creating an information base?
There is a server on Linux with 1C installed and a PostgreSQL database server, when you try to remotely create the Trade Management infobase, the client freezes and nothing happens, on the remote server you can see that the database has been created, but apparently the creation procedure does not complete. When creating an empty infobase, everything is fine, no problems.
Is it possible to somehow understand why the creation process hangs?
UPD: It also freezes when created on a local 1C server on Windows. PostgreSQL is the same version as 9.6. 1C version 8.3
UPD2: On the local server it hung after 20 minutes. And everything worked, I suppose if it takes so much time on the local server, then how much time is required on the remote server, is it possible to wait?

To begin with, I note that Artem wrote correctly - PostgreSQL needs to be additionally configured after installation - adjust the constants from the config to the really available system parameters. This page will help you with this: pgtune.leopard.in.ua
But, in order not to mindlessly introduce incomprehensible magic numbers, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the documentation first. I recommend looking here .
Further, I want to note that your actions are similar to a shamanic dance - and if here, or maybe so, but locally? So, too, you can look for errors, but only in case of hopelessness, when nothing helps.
Fortunately, the 1C server and the PostgreSQL server have a fairly "talkative" logging system. And the first thing you had to do was turn it on and watch the logs. There can be a lot of interesting information about closed ports, lack of space, and about access denials...
