How to understand this Contentful plan?

I want to try API based CMS, but the conditions of the tariff plan are not entirely clear. For example, free demo:
3 users
1K content entries
100K API requests per month
3 users - do you mean 3 content managers, for example?
What are content entries?
How to imagine in practice the number of 100K API requests? It is intended to be used on a news/entertainment site.

Of course, I understand that you asked 3 years ago ... but you never know - suddenly the question is still relevant (or someone with a similar question will come to the search engine). :-)
About API requests - I just checked - when the site is running, it does not fit into Contentful, all data that is taken from Contentful is taken at the static generation stage and stored statically. So API requests are only executed when the site is rebuilt, and even a site with very high traffic does not use these requests.
