Different content on pages in Wordpress?

I recently started freelancing, and all the time I made up landing pages, once I made a news portal on DLE, since I am familiar with DLE. Now I was asked to make a website for the company, semi-landing, semi-news. On the main page there should be sliders and information about the company, on other pages: news, contacts.
Decided to use Wordpress. I more or less figured out how to connect styles and scripts, separate index.php, but I don’t understand how you can make different content on the pages. If you create a page in the admin panel, it looks like a static page in DLE, and I don’t even know how to insert a page with news and a list of categories into it. Of course, I found information in YouTube and Google, but not the one I need. I have a request to knowledgeable people, please explain how this is generally done in Wordpress, or maybe some other engine is suitable for such cases.

index.php is a basic template, for each different page you can create separate page templates in two ways: either create a php file with a name identical to the CNC page or write
<?php
/*
Template Name: name
*/ at the beginning of the template
And then when creating pages in the admin panel template selection will be available on the right.
