How to trick Win98 Dial-up Server to work without ringing?
I connected 2 modems through two telephone line simulators. Both computers work under Windows 98SE. One also has a network card. Through HyperTerminal modems connect to each other, everything is fine. But how to convert one computer into a gateway to access it and the Internet through the modem of the second computer? The Windows remote access server is stubbornly waiting for a call. If you pick up the phone with the hyperterminal (ata), the traffic from the second computer goes to the hyperterminal in the form of garbage, and the server, at least henna, continues to wait for a call. How to deceive the DUN server that the call did arrive without applying 120 volts of change?
The option of replacing 98 with another OS is possible. At least on 8.1. :)
I can add a call pulse function to the simulator, but there is no desire to switch 100 volts with the button. Moreover, now everything is on snot, and the pressure is no longer a joke.

Isn't it easier to buy a mini PBX at a flea market and call from one internal line to another?
Well, call!
On the "client" create a dial-up connection and connect like a PPP connection. In the number in your case, it does not matter what to score, in my opinion. You can try "," - this is a pause in typing, as far as I remember, or just 1.
Once upon a time there was the same scheme, it worked without any problems, of course I don’t remember the details.
You can automatically connect using rasdial in startup, if it is in win98.
