How to transmit data over 100 meters?

Hello.
Available:
- a device that makes measurements, equipped with a serial interface;
- computer at a distance of 100 meters.
It is necessary to provide data transfer. As I understand it, you need an intermediate device that will receive data via serial and resend via LAN? (WiFi is not suitable) Is a raspberry pi suitable for the role of an intermediate device?
PS With serial ports I worked quite a lot, but with all sorts of TCP / IP - no.

Here is such a thing www.startech.com/Networking-IO/Serial-over-IP/1-Po... on the one hand, a virtual COM driver in Windows on the other hand. OK?

As an option, five ZigBee transmitters and such a thing. Although in fact it is the same WiFi.
If suddenly the device is in line of sight, then you can use something like this .
