How to transfer windows 10 to ssd?
Hello!
I bought a SSD SAMSUNG 850 PRO 256Gb I have a
laptop Lenovo Z710, i7-4700MQ, 8Gb, a hybrid HDD 1TB
I want to transfer Windows to an SSD, I have a few questions, please share your experience.
1) Is it true that optibey cuts the speed of ssd? Does it make sense to put ssd in place of hdd, and put hdd in your pocket instead of dvd?
2) Is it necessary to leave an unallocated area on ssd or is it archaism?
3) Everyone advises to clone Windows to ssd via sata-usb cable. Why can't you install an ssd and then transfer Windows without buying an extra cable?

Is it true that optibey cuts the speed of ssd? Does it make sense to put ssd in place of hdd, and put hdd in your pocket instead of dvd? There, the interface is often slower, so it can be limiting, but in practice there is no harm from this. There is another problem with Optibey - sometimes there are problems with loading from it. Therefore, it is better to put ssd in place of HDD.
Is it necessary to leave an unallocated area on ssd or is it archaism? No, not necessarily, no, not archaism. Everything is strictly according to desire and tasks.
Everyone advises to clone Windows to ssd via sata-usb cable. Why can't you install an ssd and then transfer Windows without buying an extra cable?Do what is more convenient for you.
1. It depends on what interface the optibey has, if sata2, and your ssd sata 3, of course, will cut to sata 2.
2. When cloning, all partitions are saved (well, or you choose only those you need)
3. There is no difference
Software for this:
1. Acronis
2. Macrium reflect
