How to transfer whatsapp without active sim?

On my old phone there is WhatsApp with my phone number, the SIM card of which is no longer there and most likely it has already been released by the operator.
I have no desire to restore it.
I bought a new phone and I want to have WhatsApp on it with the number that I do not have a SIM.
How can I save the WhatsApp number if the SIM card is already gone?
Maybe I should just copy the folder from the old phone (androyd 2yka) to the new phone (also androyd) and try to log in? ...
Is there any way out, besides the obvious score on the number or restore the sim for activation?

If you have root then download titanium backup and use it to backup WhatsApp data.
Root is also needed on the new phone to restore the data that was made with the titanium backup.
