How to transfer the site domain to your contract from a contract that belongs to a "dead" company?

Hello!
An old client called, they had a problem:
When their site was created, the domain was registered by the web studio. Previously, payment for a domain took place through them. Now the next payment deadline has come, but this web studio cannot be reached - all phones and mailboxes are silent. Looks like the studio has closed. And the domain needs to be paid somehow, otherwise it will turn off. No one knows the number of their contract in RU-CENTER, so just throwing money there will not work.
There is an option to wait until the domain is free and register already on a new account. But even here there is a big problem - the domain will hang for a month as unpaid.
Is there any way to transfer a site to a new account without waiting for an "unpaid" month? Or is there an option to prove that the domain is not paid for, so that the registrar himself can transfer it to another account? Or is there some other way out?

No one knows their contract number.

The usual excuse for managers who do not want to work. Imagine yourself that they were paid money several times, but they do not know under what contract. Funny.
Ask to connect you with the accounting department, the contract department, the authorities, with someone who can solve your problem. And everything will work out.
Unless of course everything is as you say.

There is not. Otherwise, they would "prove" everything in a row.

This one does not have a standard solution: I filled out a couple of forms and received an answer. Unfortunately, people are so accustomed to solving all issues remotely that they practically exclude the possibility of getting up, going and talking to real people.
But it is precisely for such situations that contracts, obligations are concluded and, in general, money is paid to registrars such as Ru-Center.
1. Collect a package of documents: contracts with the studio (for the creation, maintenance of the site, all possible), information about their translations, information about your company (documents on registration, about IP, etc.), print out contact details from your site (where the numbers phone numbers and postal addresses match the data in your contracts and documents
2. Contact their legal service: www.nic.ru/about/juristic.htmlor go directly to the office: www.nic.ru/about/contact_office.html (if you are from the regions: www.nic.ru/about/regional.html).
3. Describe the situation in detail and calmly, resolve the issue with the manager. As @anitspam rightly pointed out , not being able to set the contract number is just an excuse. Perhaps, before the end of the contract with the studio company (Does it have a deadline? Well, payment for all their domains must go through) you will find intermediate options, and then renew the contract for yourself.
