How to transfer the functions of the CTRL key to the adjacent one for Windows 8?

The control key on the keyboard is broken. Next to the unused FN key. How to transfer the functions of the CTRL key to the adjacent FN or CAPSLOCK for Windows8 without third-party programs?

You can remap keys in Windows without software.
You can also use software like Sharpkeys.
BUT: FN-keys are very often not full-fledged, i.e. do not have their own scan code, and then this idea is doomed to failure. But it is quite possible to transfer Control to Caps Lock:
vim.wikia.com/wiki/Map_caps_lock_to_escape_in_Windows
see section "Use the Caps Lock key as Ctrl"
Using software:
www.randyrants.com/2008/12/sharpkeys_30 - non-resident, simple edits the registry. Those. it's just a GUI that eliminates "manual work" with the registry.
There is also KeyTweak, I won't tell you about it.
PS Sometimes there is a setting in the BIOS that allows you to "swap" Ctrl and Fn. If you have it, you are very lucky.
PPS Having imagined a number of hot keys with Ctrl, remapped on Caps Lock, I can recommend (if a laptop) contact a repair, or (if not a laptop) change the keyboard.
