How to track which process is using a disk in Windows?
Good!
On Windows 7 SP1, the disk queue length periodically reaches 40, the duration of the disk queue length jump is 10 - 15 minutes, and after that the queue becomes close to 0.
I understand that the problem is in the activity of one of the installed software, but I don’t know how to track which process loads the disk subsystem.
Tell me, what utilities, means can be used to monitor this problem.
Thanks in advance.

Sometimes problems with the disk are detected in this way. I would recommend checking the disk first for errors, perhaps the load is because of this. And yes, track it through regular performance monitoring, the Disks section ...
