How can I intercept events of work (read / write) with an external drive (USB, eSATA, etc.)?
From what I found, only examples of connecting / removing a device from a usb port.

To work specifically with the external one, the examples you found will be required to subscribe to events via FileSystemWatcher when connected, and to unsubscribe from extraction.
