How to track the application installation process and copy the results?
Given : A proprietary program distributed in an installer that contains an MSI inside.
Required : Install this program on a secure assembly environment where the Windows Installer process is cut out and MSI packages do not work. It just failed to
unpack .. Now I want to go the other way: install the program on a normal Windows, grab all the files from there and transfer. Luckily, she doesn't fit in anywhere. I want to automate this process a little. There is such software like Advanced Installer or Cameo that takes a snapshot of the system before or after installation and saves the results of observations. However, there is a problem with them: Advanced Installer only saves in MSI or MSI-based formats, making the process useless for me. And the Cameo format is not suitable for dlls that will be accessed from outside.
Question: is there a program that will follow the installation process in the same way, but will add the results to a banal folder with files and write registry changes to .reg? Or will it create an installer that will not depend on the MSI system?
