How to take freelance orders to work with a partner?

We want to start freelancing with a friend, most likely it will be upwork. If I understood correctly, then we cannot register there as a company of two people.
1) Is it worth it to tell the customer about a partner if you take an order?
2) With a fixed price, everything is clear - we can finish the project faster. What about hourly pay? In total, we will work for about 16 hours and what to do with the time tracking program, screen shots, etc.?

You need to make it as easy as possible.
The customer does not need to know that you have some kind of complex organization here. He needs his order to be done, to bother and delve into the information about your bunch, he doesn’t care at all. So, how you break down the responsibilities there and who the account will be registered for, this is generally your internal problem.

If we talk about upWork (oDesk), then you can register a separate agency and pay $ 20 per month for it. As many of your employees as you like will be registered with your agency. Without paying $20 per month, the agency will consist of 1 person and you will no longer be able to invite anyone to your place.

1. Most of the time it's best not to talk about your partner. Most customers are looking for exactly the only contractor
2. Agree on fixed, for small projects it's easier and more convenient.
