How to synchronize user profiles in Sharepoint 2013 with Active Directory?
I have a SharePoint 2013 test farm. Farm machines run Windows Server 2012 R2. All machines are on the same subnet, all firewalls are off. Under the administrator of SharePoint in AD, the user spadmin is introduced, which is included in the group of domain users and Pre-Windows 2000 Compatible Access, and the Replicating Directory Changing rights are assigned. In general, the farm is working properly, difficulties arise when trying to start the "User Profile Synchronization Service". In the services.msc snap-in, I see the Forefront Identity Manager Synchronization Service and the Forefront Identity Manager Service. When trying to start the “User Profile Synchronization Service” from the SharePoint admin, it goes into the “Starting” state, hangs for a long time, and then falls into “Stopped”. Thus in equipment of services I observe the following picture. The Forefront Identity Manager Synchronization Service gets the spadmin account, goes from Disabled to Automatic, hangs for a while, then drops back to Disabled. The Forefront Identity Manager Service does not respond in any way, does not receive the spadmin account, and is always in the Disabled status.
Can you please tell me how to start these services? In which direction to dig?

Managed to solve the problem.
I use MS SQL 2014 as a database server. In order
for SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2013 SP1 to work correctly with it, you need cumulative updates for October 2015.
Here is a link to the updates:
https://technet.microsoft.com/library/4b32dfba-1af...
I also want to note that the updates for SharePoint Foundation 2013 and SharePoint Server 2013 are different, be careful.
