How to switch Synergy keyboard layout?

Hello! I use the Synergy program to control multiple computers with one keyboard and mouse, I used it in some versions, namely win7 (server) win7 (client), ubuntu (server) win7 (client), it has one feature on the client computer, you cannot switch the language layout, but if you switch it on the server, then on the client the language was the same as on the server, now I use it in the ubuntu (server) xubuntu (client) variant, in this case, switching the layout does not work at all)
If someone came across, and was able to achieve switching layouts on the client computer tell me how?
