How to study computer science on your own?
In the near future I want to enroll in a master's program in IT. The course is related to mathematical calculations and modeling of physical processes. For admission and for further education, basic knowledge of information technology and programming is required. I myself study electronics and nanoelectronics and this is very loosely connected with the IT world. How all the same to develop a training plan and master the base in the coming year? What are the most important aspects?

The old SICP provides a good base. I don't know of a better textbook for programming in general, not specific technologies.
Read books, look at some courses, for example, from Harvard or MIT. If you know English well, read and look at it, it will be more profitable.
In general, it depends on how cool the university is and what is there, well, the specialization itself. What will they want from you, deep knowledge of compilers and assembler or, for example, the web. And what do you plan to do yourself + do you have any experience now, have you programmed before.
