How to stop floating menu when hovering over categories?

Good afternoon, there is a floating top menu (that is, when the user scrolls the page, the menu is attached to the top and "follows him"
) the top menu and the categories along with it, hence the bottommost categories are not visible. ( prntscr.com/8yx7m7 )
What can be done about it?
As the idea was - so that when you hover over the categories, the top menu does not "follow" the user. How to implement it?

Strategic decision: abstract the categories down to a manageable amount (for example, instead of: door handles, window handles, hinges, hinges.... do: fittings).
Tactical solution: In your case, if it does not fit vertically, expand to the right (make the category column 2 times thicker and "push" the next one).
