How to stop enike?

Good day! Please share your experience / knowledge, how to get off the needle of enikeystvo? I’ll make a reservation right away that I don’t live in DC 1-2, so the labor market in my city is not saturated with interesting vacancies.
On the whole, I rate myself quite acceptable in terms of knowledge: I have knowledge of the CCNA course and networks in general, I can manage Windows if it does not concern some kind of huge domain. I am currently working as a sys assistant. admin, but at the current place there is nowhere to go higher both in terms of knowledge and money.
Most of all, the Linux administration branch is of interest, but I don’t know how to gain combat experience. I played in a virtual machine right away with the server version, learned the basic commands, the purpose of the folders, figured out how to exit the vim editor, assembled a seemingly non-leaky OpenVPN + 3proxy according to the guide, having figured out in detail what I was doing. But I feel that this is all pampering in the sandbox, there is not enough idea about the typical tasks of the Linux admin. In fact, there is no way with programming, I plan to learn bash, but again, I have a hard time imagining which routine tasks in my sandbox can be automated and which cannot.
Huge thanks to all who signed up. I will be glad to interesting links and high-quality literature.

No way. You can master tons of new knowledge, but you can go beyond the limits of doshirak and vacuuming system engineers only with some luck and an accidental (or not accidental) employment in a company in which your knowledge will be in demand.
As for "typical admin tasks" - well, so this is generally an extremely vague concept that depends on the company and its tasks. In most cases, a peer-to-peer network 192.168.0.0/24 and some kind of file server are enough, and the provider needs to know the network at the L2 level without fail, L3 - depending on why they took you.
In general, taking into account the fact that IT is financed almost on a residual basis in non-core companies, you can pump skills and be really useful only where IT is the main activity, otherwise you will be tinkering in the sandbox, doing what no one else it is not necessary and for which no one will give money. Of course, if we are talking about really large offices with the appropriate infrastructure and a huge IT department, then everything is different there, but you still need to get there, and for this you need to change the location to something large, and it’s not a fact that it will work out get settled. In general, everything is very individual, but, IMHO, sysadmin in the provinces is not something that will bring professional development and money.

"I'm most interested in the Linux administration branch"
It's impossible to learn Linux at home. I was in almost the same situation, only I was not enikey, but a network and Windows admin. Less than a year ago, I got a job with a hosting provider, a Linux admin, with absolutely no knowledge. A month of training and I was able to work independently on simple tasks, then more difficult, etc. Now I work in another company, the work is more interesting and more difficult.
Therefore, I summarize - in order to master something, you need to work with it in combat conditions.

Get a job with a telecom operator. There is optimization all around now, no one goes, but if you know how to read and write, they will take it. There you will train and decide your future fate.

purpose of folders

The purpose of the folder is to give belts to those who have "learned" Linux and call directories folders.
If this is a joke, then it's a dupe.
Understand new services such as telephony, Zabbix and web servers, or maintain existing ones.
On the topic - discuss with the administrator the possibility of raising some useful service on the network, raise it yourself in a virtual machine. Google about paravirtualization, Docker, Snap, that's it.
You need to know bash, yes. Now the web is in vogue, read how to set up a web server, read about iptables and make a firewall. Raise Asterisk, Zabbix, dig into the domain (nowhere without Windows), practice GPO.
In general, all these tips are really a sandbox, you should get a full-fledged admin somewhere and learn everything in practice.

Depends on the place of work - different skills are needed.
Key words: nginx, ***cgi, Elastic stack aka ELK, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, Telegraf, KVM, vSphere, Ansible, Docker, k8s, python, clusters, DNS, fireover, cloud services, LDAP, SSO .
Optionally Gitlab, Jenkins and Jira, if the admin is looking towards the devops.

First you need to decide in which area you plan to work.

Linux administration
this is a very vague concept.
You can work with a database, you can work with a network, you can work with web servers, with virtualization, etc.

To learn how to administer Linux, you need to find a job where this is a daily task, there are not many such options, or a hosting provider or some kind of web studio. Of course, hosting is much better in terms of knowledge diversity and growth opportunities.

only your own business will save you tyre your business
I really live in St. Petersburg, it’s easier with clients here
and in the end I saved myself from Enikey by outsourcing .. that is, I began to look for clients .. to hire assistants
then I came up with another business in IT based on the provision of other services
now there was strength and money to start and pay for the software product
while remaining hired employees YOU WILL ALWAYS BE ANIKE , no matter
how much you get and no matter how interesting the vacancy
is PS I can also say that opening an IP now and paying 6% is just easier than a steamed turnip, Internet banks a bunch, an accountant is not needed, 1c is not needed .. no reporting ... WORK - I DO NOT WANT
