How to update PhpMyAdmin on CentOs or reinstall it, but not from the repository?

Please tell me how to update PhpMyAdmin on CentOs or install it again, but not from the repository, but by myself? Because did not find a repository with PMA higher than version 3x.

I learned to install only from repositories via SSH. If there are other options please let me know.

phpmyadmin is downloaded as an archive from the Internet and simply unpacked on a web server or uploaded there via ftp, as easy as shelling pears.
