Today there was a need to take the epub version of the book purchased on google play.
I did it in the following way:
1. Go to the Google Play My Books section - https://play.google.com/books
2. Click on the desired book ... and select the "Download EPUB" item
3. The .acsm file was loaded
4. Install Adobe Digital Editions
5. With this program, open the downloaded acsm.
6. In Menu File - Item Info you can see where the epub file is located.
7. If (as in my case) there is copy protection, then it can be removed with this program Adobe PDF ePub DRM Removal
8. After removing the DRM, the file can be copied and opened on any other device, or you can download books from another account on Google Play.

Let's open, for example, a book in chrome. Through the "developer tools" (ctr-shift-I) in the resources, we see that the book consists of a set of pictures. We save the necessary ones in turn and collect them in pdf. Very labor intensive!
Although, I think it will not be difficult to write a softinka that will do it quickly. The address of each picture ends with a number (eg ........4tW8Vmgk0GjsA2pg&w=685). We determine the range for the desired book, etc., etc.

Designed to download the maximum number of pages from Google Books as source PNG files, whether it's a Full preview or just a Preview book. In the second case, use Tor or different proxy servers to bypass Google's browsing limit from one IP. Please note that many pages in the "Preview" books cannot be viewed even from different IPs, as they are marked as "inaccessible".
