How to start writing with little karma?

Good evening gentlemen!
I wanted to write a short essay about the benefits and harms of the terms of reference.
I tried to publish it in the sandbox, but, apparently, there was not enough karma.
The search did not give an answer, so I decided to write here.
Is it possible to write at least somewhere with such a small karma? And, if not, then how is this karma earned?
I ask people who understand the mechanics of the process to give an answer.
