How to start setting up a failover gateway on CentOS 7?
Good afternoon!
The task was set to set up a failover gateway (of 2 gates, 2 providers) on CentOs 7 (from scratch), I didn’t find any sensible manuals (I just realized that you need to configure keepalived), can someone share their experience, where to start?

for the gateway to be fault-tolerant - there must be two gateway computers and not 1,
auto-switching from provider to provider is only a partial fail-safe measure.
migration of IP addresses between gateways - means of keepalived
NAT - using iptables
checking the availability of the Internet through providers and switching - small bash scripts in cron, or looping to the background if once a minute is too slow.
Also for general development read LARTC https://www.opennet.ru/docs/RUS/LARTC/
Start by analyzing why you should do it manually on an operating system that you don't know (judging by the question) Look towards pfSense/OPNSense. There is fault tolerance out of the box
