How to start learning mathematics?

Hello! Advise how to start studying this terrible science, what books to read or resources. Now the level of the student of the class is 6 .. From this moment I have serious problems and I want to fix it. It is also interesting, how long does it take on average to study the school curriculum and move to the tower?

So, start with a textbook for a 6th grade school.
It will take - depends on your ingenuity.

To study elementary (school) mathematics, try to start with the book by D.K. Faddeeva and I.S. Sominsky "Algebra for Self-Education" , it has 530 pages, it is very detailed and completely covers the entire traditional course of the Soviet normal school in mathematics. Here is a link to it (it will last a month).
When you begin to move on to higher mathematics, you need to master, solving all the tasks, for example, the books of I.A. Kaplan "Practical studies in higher mathematics" , in 5 parts ( they are here, in general I recommend this site) - also very detailed and with a detailed analysis, designed for the minimum school level. Then it is worth moving on to books by Zel'dovich like "Higher Mathematics for Beginners", etc. I-welcome to any engineering faculty.
You have to read a lot and visit forums, such as dxdy.ru and others.
With patience and diligence, everything will surely work out. I strongly do not recommend starting with the exam .

Once upon a time, I also wondered about self-study of mathematics and tried different ways. As a result, I managed to improve my knowledge of the school curriculum and not only. Here are my recommendations.
Start by learning English. No matter what they tell you about the cool "Soviet school" and textbooks - all this loses in many respects to English-language resources. It is useless to study mathematics from school textbooks on your own. Tutors are different, but most often they can only train you for the exam.
Find out what the school curriculum consists of, what sections you are interested in and how deep you want to dive into each of them.
There is a wonderful resource called "KhanAcademy". Each section is divided into modules. The modules consist of video tutorials, educational texts and tasks. For each topic, you can ask a question. You do not need to pay anything, the resource is free.
In addition, there is "Coursera". The learning opportunities there are the same, but sometimes the approach is different.
In addition to this, you can download a book on the topic from the "For Dummies" series. In the English version it is "For dummies". I read such on trigonometry and mathematical analysis. Everything is very detailed and explained. True, this does not eliminate the need to think and understand for yourself.
How much time will it take to study? This is very individual and depends on your knowledge. Figure out why you need it. This will depend on the approach to learning. To pass the exam, sometimes it is enough to study with a tutor for a year.

Better get a tutor.
I'm more or less serious.
It is not in vain that people go to college and attend lectures and seminars; using textbooks is ineffective.
The ability to take the integral is an indicator. Either the fact that a person has solved such problems 10 times, or that he already has a different way of thinking. Better) Actually, the value of mathematics is just that))
And why not learn from an example here too?)

What nafig courses, what can be so new or unusual there? The podcast is better, yes.
If he is capable of thinking - school textbooks from grades 7 to 11, the general default program.
If it doesn’t work, you also need a tutor, at least for the first time, to get the ball rolling.

Take the USE option and try to solve it while looking at the theory along the way. If the exam is completely unbearable, take the exam.

It’s worth starting with set theory (for example, from this book:).
Further depends on what kind of mathematics you are interested in.
