What books to read on industrial user interfaces (SCADA)?
I have met many books on the development of web interfaces, mobile device interfaces, but I have never met books on SCADA that address the issue of interface convenience with any examples. What books can you recommend reading about HMI design and how best to do it? Well, in general, what books can you read about UI / UX?

For example, here https://www.isa.org/standards-and-publications/isa...
1) First of all - the theory of technical design and ergonomics. The shape of the elements, colors. (by the way, you need to know the standards, for example, electricians have green color - there is no voltage, red - the load is connected).
2) There are two styles: outline and 3D. Personally, I love animation (eg the movement of water or air through pipes).
3) You can see examples for smartphones of Russian companies iRidium Mobile and Tron (the last one is 3D).
Search the Internet for The High Performance HMI Handbook.
It is not entirely fresh (about 10 years old), but right now the leading vendors have begun to implement the principles laid down in this book.
Look for information about the concept of Situation Awareness, which is currently the modern design concept for SCADA / HMI interfaces.
If you are going to work for the Russian segment, then each organization may have its own industry standards. For example, as noted above, power engineers and PCs have opposite color designations.
