How to start earning as an aspiring artist?

I've been drawing in different directions of digital art for a while now (from logos to portraits and concept art). I have never worked with clients (apart from a couple of orders from friends / acquaintances), I don’t know where to start. Friends say that my level is enough to take orders and do something.
Should I use freelance exchanges, if so, which ones?
What other ways are there to get your first client?
I won’t be able to permanently, because. I study at the university.
Thank you!

In a normal university there is at least one teacher who works / has a firm in the profile and takes those who he likes to his
place Look for such people in your own country and in neighboring ones in the profile
Learn to sell yourself - nothing will help here except practice
Be able to permanently
First client as the first. .. everything first is different and unexpected for everyone
Start being public - draw not for money, but for fun quickly and post it on the network
Start to tweet, twitter, fb, instagram

The word "beginner" can be interpreted in two ways. A beginner in the sense of working for money or in the sense of drawing itself? If the second - then no way. If the first is to post a portfolio on Behans and Devian and look at the reviews, soberly filtering the flattery of the honey plants.

One way: find a cool
team and work on a couple of projects together . guys are future designers and editors in cool companies, you will follow them with a trailer... Also look for startups. https://startupfellows.ru/vacancies For example, I need an illustrator for a startup on the main page, I would even pay a little, the only question is whether you can draw in the style you need /// Here is the portfolio of the guy who organized the publication with other guys (Moloko , at the very bottom of the portfolio) www.provorov.me
there illustrators, editors and programmers sawed the project for their name,

I don’t see a problem - if you have something to show, look at vacancies (for example, on hh.ru) and write to interesting companies, immediately indicating that you can not work full-time and remotely.
There will be experience and money and so on ..

To get started, build up a portfolio, do any creative work for large companies for free and write in the portfolio like this, for example, "drawing for a theme on Iphone" or a drawing for a new Google project ... in general, I think you got the point, gain experience, don't be afraid to take responsibility for large projects and things will go ...

The portfolio is your everything. Take it, exhibit your works on upwork, for different design companies and in any case there will be feedback

Take your work (those that you did for your friends and for fun), post your resume on various job exchanges from hh.ru to upwork, send it to various graphic studios (they can also be found through exchanges and Google))
