The task of the software is to speed up the work of the designer, so you need to start with the classics, i.e. the basics of printing (composition, grids, fonts, headings, plates, pictures, etc.)
How to start developing - yes, just take it and start already!)))
Find some lessons, master classes on YouTube. Start simple.
There are also many videos on how to start and develop, including those answering the question - do you need it at all?).
It's not quite right now to rush between instruments. It's like a novice programmer who does not understand the basics, wasting time choosing an IDE.
You can start even in Photoshop, even in xd, even in Figma. Otherwise, it looks as if you are justifying yourself for using xd))) If you like it, use it.
Just start. It's not hard to find tutorials. Look for some lessons on the basics, master classes where they draw some kind of layout from scratch.
It is difficult for a beginner to create something like that on a stratum, therefore - "I got into a rage, started doing all sorts of crap for 2 days in ADOBE XD, then stopped." Try to copy what is shown in the lessons first. Start simple.
But in general it is strange that you had to come here with such a question, especially if you have been wanting to become a designer for a LONG time.
Good luck to you.
I advise the courses of Maxim Soldatkin, I do not advertise, but I advise.
If the toad is choking, you can get it on a trekker, I passed it myself, I go to interviews.
One asked a lot of technical questions, but to my own surprise, I answered most of them. Then they were given a task to check.
In general, apart from this course. Read about grids, fonts, indents (very important, many clog). Make fakes and go to work.
