How to start an Xfce4 session in Linux Mint 17.3 Mate 64bit?
Installed xfce4 with mate-meta-xfce package .
I expected at the next login when choosing a session to see an item with xfce4 there, but it was not there. In the "Login window" settings, there is also no item with xfce4.
In which direction to look \ what "spell" to cast so that this item appears in its place? :)

And you didn't install xfce. You have installed a package with default settings, and that's it! sudo apt-get install xfce4
and you will be happy!
