Skype on Linux offline messages not reaching contacts?

Question to those who use native Skype on Linux. Just checked from two different accounts, messages to a contact do not reach when it is offline. Those. I understand the message only comes when you are online and the interlocutor is online. Is this a bug or a general trend? I deleted Skype settings from my home directory, it's useless, the same story. But it turns out to be frivolous. Even in ICQ in the mid-2000s, offline messages reached calmly when the addressee popped up online, while you could be completely offline. And another question, now the login for Skype is not registered separately? Constantly offers to register LIveId which nafik did not give up to me. There is no Xbox or other Microsoft products. I used to be indifferent to Microsoft, but as it turned out, they justify their reputation, which has long become folklore.

Offline messages appeared in 5.0, and in Linux, if I'm not mistaken, something from the 4.x version.
