My work with Bitrix was limited to editing templates, implementing agents.
As far as I understand, the main idea of ​​developing any site on Bitrix is ​​to take ready-made functions for generating a list of entities, obtaining information about an entity, and show the whole thing through templates.
Is it so? I am superficially familiar with the Bitrix API.
Specifically, there is a task of creating an online store: a catalog, coupons, discounts, etc. As far as I saw, all this is in the right edition of Bitrix.

If you work with 1C-Bitrix and you make "templates", then most of everything is already there.
In general, the question is very different from the content and it is not very clear what you originally mean.
Do you want to know if it is possible to solve this case without writing your own code (i.e. without writing components, but only by editing the template)? Yes, you can.
Is it possible to do any complex things without writing code? Depends on what exactly. Many decisions have already been made, and the implementation of others will require strong or significant code changes.
