How to split a hard drive into 2 partitions and make them with different file systems?

I'm currently working under Windows 10, it's installed on a 120GB SSD But I want to install Linux (elementary OS) on a 1TB
HDD.
I didn’t understand
In general, I formatted it back to NTFS and while it is empty
I need to have an SSD 120 under Windows when I work, as such it remains and that there is a 500GB partition from the hard drive, and Linux is installed on the second half of the hard drive
But I don’t know how to do this, I need to split a 500GB hard drive to NTFS and 500GB to Ext4, what should I do?

When installing Linux, it cannot automatically select a sliced partition, it writes supposedly some kind of bit offset error

For these purposes, there is a mountain of utilities. Partition Magic and Acronis Disk Director for example.
The first I used in the zero, the last - to this day.
