How to speed up/optimize Linux as much as possible?
What can be done with Linux to speed it up as much as possible? I have Fedora 32 GNOME. I don’t want to give up GNOME, I’m interested in setting up an already installed system, and not replacing it with something else.

Buy more memory, put a more powerful processor.
In fact, specific problems need to be addressed. There is no such thing as "just speed something up".
In addition to iron updates, dig in the direction of tmpfs and store all temporary files there to be deleted after reboot. Perhaps it will speed up the work of such packages as www-client/*, etc.
You can get into the kernel and clean up there for "peace of mind", but you will not notice any effect in the response of your DE. As Saboteur writes, "specific problems need to be fixed" - and nothing else.
