How to solve sudo apt-get problem in ubuntu?

You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
linux-image-extra-4.4.0-71-generic : Depends: linux-image-4.4.0-71-generic but it is not going to be installed
linux-image-extra-4.4.0-96-generic : Depends: linux-image-4.4.0-96-generic but it is not going to be installed
linux-image-generic : Depends: linux-image-4.4.0-96-generic but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: thermald but it is not going to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
.
What could be the problems, I can’t overcome the day (

Dependency problem. There is a similar problem mainly in two cases:
1. You installed a downloaded deb package which breaks dependencies.
2. You have added a third-party repository and dependencies were broken after installing one of the packages from this repository.
How to fix the situation:
- Remove the package or fix the dependencies, or if possible without breaking the whole system, satisfy them. The command can help with this apt -f install
- Remove repositories that break dependencies.
- Fix broken dependencies.
