I have an ASUS U31SD laptop. Recently, the screen sometimes starts to go in stripes. As I noticed, this happens when there is poor ventilation (the laptop is on the bed). I decided to clean it and change the thermal paste, I take it apart and see that the copper tubes on one side have become partially black. What is it and how to be?

Paint it! Most likely there are ventilation holes in the lid. Painted for an aesthetic appearance, so that copper tubes would not be visible through the "mesh"!
