How to sign an NDA?

NDA in Word file. How to sign it and where? There is a By field and a dash under it is my name. Do I need to print and scan or can I sign electronically somehow?
And another question: do I just need to paint or write the name again?

Printing and writing is not required.
I have always accepted NDA signed using a scanned signature superimposed in a graphic editor on a pdf document. The standard Preview program on OS X even has a special tool for this.

And it’s not fate to ask the customer, someone can be inserted in electronic form, someone needs to print, sign, scan and send by e-mail, and someone needs to send the originals with a copy of the passport
