How to setup SSSD client for AD in SLES12?
There is a SLES 12 server, it is necessary to be able to grant rights to users from the Active Directory list.
SLES11 used OpenLDAP, and here is this SSSD, and I just can't master it. Maybe someone knows how to do it?

If in SLES, SSSD is the same as in Centos, then you need to install realmd - it configures SSSD automatically. It turns out that adcli, realmd, sssd, samba-common-tools should be installed (package names from yum reps, in SLES may differ). You do realm discover domain.com && realm join -U administrator (cn administrator in AD) domain.com you are all in AD. If you need dns to work, write in /etc/sssd/sssd.conf dyndns_update_prt = false, and in MS DNS on the zone being updated, there should be a dynamic update mode "Secure Only" (Secure Only), after 15 minutes everything starts to work. hostname should be fqdn
