1. 10,000 per day is not much. any one on which ubuntu will stand is enough
2. yes, everything is the same. what documentation you study, then take it.
3. naturally. in DNS. to receive mail, you prescribe MX, to send, in theory, nothing, but better than SPF, DKIM. and for the site you have A records.
4. you will immediately get into all sorts of blacklists + large providers will immediately ban you.
There is one point. If you are going to organize an SMTP server in the office, then I can recommend asking the provider to register a PTR record in the DNS, this is a reverse zone in other words. Add spf, DKIM, DMARC, MX records and that's it. Further, the setting is according to the Talmuds, but getting into spam is NOT THAT THREATENING for you.
There are individual, already configured correctly, ready to work and administered mail servers, incl. with support in questions of delivery of bulk mail. For example, mailout.ru
Individual separate domain(s) and clean ip-address. Support for your domain. Reputable servers are also possible.
