How to set up Visual Studio Code for Mono?

Are there extensions for Visual Studio Code to work with Mono (on Linux)? Found an extension (or addition) C # from Microsoft. But the description says it supports .Net Core, but it doesn't work for me as I need WinForms.
I know about MonoDevelop, it is installed.

Winforms is on .net core.
But in general, developing something for winform not on Windows is a pain.
Somewhere in the omnisharp settings there is an option to specify the path to mono
