How to set up the Sj Basic News module?

Hello. I have a module that displays news on the pages, I installed it, indicated the news category, position, it is fine where it is needed, it writes, Has no connect to show!but as soon as I add material to the news category, the site stops working and all I see is some date, in my case this 2017-01-17 08:28:41. Why is that? And how to fix it?
