How to set up the routing table correctly?

There are two routers that are connected point-to-point.
One router has ip-LAN: 192.168.0.1
ip-WAN: 192.168.1.X
The second router has ip-LAN: 192.168.1.1
ip-WAN: 188.246.YX
When connected to router 1, ping goes to router 2, as well as to devices that are connected to router 2. BUT when connected to router 2, ping to router 1 does not go.
In search of a solution to the problem, I came to the conclusion that it is necessary to change the routing - add a new route.
It was added on router 1:
Ip destination address - 192.168.1.X
Mask - 255.255.255.0
Gateway - 192.168.0.1

After these changes, the problem was not solved. What are the ways to solve the problem? And is the course chosen correctly in the sense that the problem is in routing, if so, how to set it up correctly?

You need to look at what kind of routers. On most soho solutions, the passage from wan to lan is blocked.

already answered in the previous question
Disable the firewall on the WAN port on the router with ip 1.1
Or allow any traffic INCOMING to this port
