How to set up split tunneling on surfshark or NORDVPN?

Or any other?
I can’t set up any of the vpn services so that some of the applications work under vpn, and some under the regular Internet. Always gets out a car of errors. Is there a detailed guide anywhere on how to deal with this? The entire Internet is empty, it seems that no one needs separate tunneling.
