How to set up routing so that traffic only for RDP goes through the VPN?

I work remotely.
They set up a VPN in the office and cut off access via RDP, they say, only through VPN.
I configured a VPN (WAN Miniport (PPTP)), but some applications lose connection through this VPN, and I don’t want all my traffic to go through the office server.
Tell me, plz, how to set up routing so that only traffic for RDP goes through the VPN, and for everyone else through my native gateway (router)?
Or other options?
PS The option of prescribing routes for individual IPs so that they work through my home network is not an option. Rather, I'm looking for a reverse method - so that VPN is used only for a working IP, RDP. If possible.

Just uncheck "Use the default gateway on the remote network" in the vpn connection properties. All traffic will go as usual, and access to the ip address of the RDP server will simply appear.

in the case of pptp, this is unrealistic, you are given a default gateway and you go through it
Raising the openvpn server solves your problem
The openvpn server will give you only the necessary routes (to the rdp server in this case), the rest will go through the provider directly

The same need arose - so that you could connect via rdp to the station on windows, and it was connected to the Internet via openVPN, so access from the local network disappeared when the VPN was activated.
Helped - vpn network connection properties, Network tab, go to Internet Protocol version 4, Advanced button, there Main gateways, add and specify the local address of the router that looks to the Internet (in my case 192.168.0.1)
