How to set up port forwarding on a Netgear wnr2000v2 router?

Good afternoon.

I have the following network: the internet cable goes into the netgear router. The router is connected to a hub in which two computers are connected. The ISP provides a dynamic IP.

The task is this: to access my computer on the local network (10.0.0.5) on a specific port (say 2020).

As far as I understand, first you need to enable dyndns on the router. Ok, I registered on dyndns.com, got a host (****.dyndns.org), registered a host, login and password in the router. I took this step. The next step is to redirect the traffic to the local computer. For this you need to forward the port, right?

The computer has a self-written server listening on the port (for example, 2020). I want to connect to this server from the internet like this: ****.dyndns.org:2020. I forward external port 2020 to internal port 2020. But nothing works.

I checked the openness of port 2020 - it is closed. It is open on the local computer. I don't understand what's the matter. Help me to understand

Port forwarding - add service.
Add 2020 as your service.
Then specify the local server 10.0.0.5
Here is an example

1. From local server - canyouseeme.org and check port 2020
2. To check from external access: cmd -> telnet **.dyndns.org 2020

Make sure dyndns worked:
1. whatismyip.com,
2. nslookup ***.dyndns.org,
3. telnet xx.xx.xx.xx:2020 from internet

What address does the router receive from the provider on the WAN port? Firmware alternative or stock? If I'm not mistaken, services like dyndns are needed in order to stick your server out when the provider provides an external dynamic IP. In my case, there was a snag in the fact that the provider gave the router an internal address, and not an external dynamic one, which is why port forwarding did not work as I expected. After a couple of days, I bought a static external address, which immediately began to be issued to the router and everything worked correctly. Perhaps there are other solutions, but I could not solve the problem otherwise. (I'll clarify: Beeline provider)

figured it out. the provider does not give me a dynamic address. to me the address in a subnet of provider is issued. and that external IP was a common subnet. I was explained like this. so forwarding won't help. thanks to those who responded. I will google further
