How to set up perl syntax highlighting in PyCharm?

By default, PyCharm/Phpstorm does pretty poor perl highlighting, not even understanding multi-line strings. But he knows how to use TextMate's schemes.

The only scheme I've been able to get to work is https://github.com/textmate/perl.tmbundle , but it's on a light background. When switching PyCharm's to a dark template, the highlight turns into a pumpkin.

Is there any way to change the colors in this theme (like I climbed through the files, I didn’t find anything similar to the colors)? Or somehow teach the IDE to understand Perl better?

IntelliJ Base IDEs do not have a Perl plugin. And no one does it
