How to fix hotkeys in Russian layout in Ubuntu?

Can't do ctrl+v/ctrl+c in Ubuntu code editors if keyboard layout is RU.
Has anyone done such a mess?

This is not in ubuntu, but in the programs themselves and gnome.
It's easier to switch to some less carelessly put together editor. I use Komodo Edit for example - everything works fine.
