How to set up networking in VirtualBox as follows? (no internet on the host)?
Good afternoon!
I have a MacBook with VirtualBox running Ubuntu.
The network was configured using a network bridge, which did not require any settings and everything was fine.
But this mechanism only works when the laptop is connected to the Internet.
Now a situation has arisen. The laptop is not connected to anything, the virtual machine, accordingly, also does not receive an address, and it is impossible to connect to the virtual machine from the laptop.
So here's the actual question. Is it possible to somehow configure so that the virtual machine and the laptop are in some kind of internal network with their own addresses (regardless of whether the laptop is connected to an external network). At the same time, so that in a situation where the laptop is connected to an external network and there is access to it in the virtual machine.
